Warded to Maya, Ivy, Sloane, Rachael.
HELP. I just wrote a ward to Hugo, admitting that I'm his secret admirer and that I like him, and I couldn't stop myself from writing it. I managed to get it crossed out, but all I want to do is write him another ward proclaiming it again.

Sometimes, I wish I could do things to get into trouble and get detentions and not care about the consequences. I wouldn't mind being a rebel every once in a while, either. And I don't know why I'm writing all of that.

And just when I thought everything was going boring for prank week, after the loud declarations of lust on Tuesday glad I didn't check out H-- and everybody hugging people on Wednesday. And then I woke up this morning and everything in the dorm was yellow and black. Dear prankster: just promise that my favourite skirt will go back to normal, and I won't get upset about being a Hufflepuff for the day. I promise.

I painted my nails yesterday evening with a new polish, and it's already chipping at the tips. I don't think I'll be buying any more polish from Wow Your Nails Look Great because my nails don't look great at all.
Who else is done with the History of Magic essay? I think I might have gone on for a little too long on the reasons for the rebellion.

I officially have my costume for the ball now. I had to beg and plead with Daddy just a bit to get him to agree, and then I had to swear on my life to be careful, so consider this your warning: mess with my costume and you have to face the wrath of my dad. He beheaded You-Know-Who's snake, just remember that.
See, Dad still has gran and gramps' Auror robes stored away. Daddy agreed to let me borrow gran's robes for the ball. So I will be attending as Alice Longbottom, Auror Extraordinaire. Mum just dropped the robes off with Dad, and he's holding onto them in his office until the ball.

You know what would be fun?
Some truth or dare! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, it's really fun and easy! Just say whether you want a truth or a dare. If you say truth, then someone can ask you a question, and you have to answer truthfully. If you say dare, then you have to do whatever you're dared to do. And I'm totally not coming up with all of these by myself so everyone can chime in with truths or dares for other people!
But a few ground rules first, because we are at school and I am a prefect.
1. Nothing that would break school rules
2. Nothing dangerous
3. HAVE FUN!

Well, even if my beloved brother Algie is going to be a stick in the mud and not want me to share pictures of him when we were little, or even pictures of the three of us, I'm at least going to share one of my favourite ones of me.
I think I'd decided that my face was much more fun to paint than the paper.

A couple of poor first year girls were so upset by the fact that their skirts and blouses kept flying up that they forgot the password into the tower. They were nearly in tears by the time I happened upon them and let them in so that they could change into slacks. We couldn't quite figure out what to do about the blouses, but at least they only have to worry about holding down one article of clothing.
Was this really necessary? Honestly.

This is, I think, my favourite part of the year. We're just a couple weeks into the new school year, which means that mum has sent the very first care package of the year. And, of course, that includes cupcakes from the best bakery on Diagon Alley, and she always sends way more than Al and I could ever possibly eat without gaining a metric tonne, so I have some to share! I have them here with me in the Gryffindor common room, but I might be convinced to smuggle some out if anyone in another house wants one.
So, who's having a good Wednesday?
